There are plenty of pitfalls when talking to a robot, but Hal doesn't seem too pressed about what she says, perhaps in part because he's still pleased to even have a body at all. His expression is a little inscrutable but all he does is tilt his head before responding.

"You're welcome. But yes, I'm very different from them. It seems those bots are built around a single purpose with a small script of responses, much like a simple chat bot given a body. I'm a fully-formed artificial intelligence."

A beat passes, and he continues. "My name is lil Hal, but you can just call me Hal."
